Services
What is included in lawn mowing?
Mowing the front and back lawn you measured, every week, every two weeks or once a month, or a single one-time cut. The price comes from your lawn size: the lawn you outline on the map, with the house taken out, front and back together.
How often do you mow?
You choose: every week, every two weeks or once a month, through the lawn season. A one-time cut is also available.
What do spring and fall cleanups include?
A spring cleanup clears the lawn and beds after winter; a fall cleanup clears the leaves before the snow. They are separate visits, priced by lawn size. Leaves and yard waste are bagged for city pickup; taking them away is extra and quoted separately.
What does winter service include?
From December to March, the monthly service covers your walk, steps and the city sidewalk in front, each time the snow reaches your trigger, with salting after a snowfall. You can add your driveway to the monthly price or have it cleared per push. Storefront sidewalks, parking lot plowing and lot salting are available for small commercial properties.
What is the 5 cm or 2 cm trigger?
It is the depth of new snow at which your property is due a clearing. You choose it when you pick winter service. At 2 cm, smaller snowfalls are cleared too, so there are more visits in a season and the monthly price is higher than at 5 cm.
What happens in a big storm?
On a monthly plan, every snowfall that reaches your trigger is covered from December to March, however many there are; a long storm can need more than one visit, and you do not pay extra for those on the monthly service. Items billed per push, such as a driveway add-on or a parking lot, are charged for each push. We do not promise a clearing time.
Do you clean gutters?
No. Gutter cleaning is not a service we offer.
Prices and billing
How is my price worked out?
From what you measure on the map and the services you pick: lawn size for mowing and cleanups, metres of hedge for trimming, driveway or lot size for snow clearing, and your trigger. Travel is charged as fuel only, for the extra distance off our usual route. The page How pricing works explains each part.
Is the price on the measuring tool final?
It is an estimate from your measurements. Greenzilla confirms the final price with you before any work starts.
How does billing work?
Monthly services are billed for each month of their season: the lawn season, December to March for winter service, or 12 months for the year-round plan. Per-visit and per-push items are billed by the visit. Your agreement sets out the details.
How do I pay?
By cash or e-transfer to [email protected].
Do I have to sign anything?
Sending a request from the website books nothing. An agreement exists only once you sign one.
Can I get a price without the measuring tool?
Yes. Call 905 923 8591 or use the short form on the home page, and we will work it out with you.
What happens to the details I send?
We use them only to prepare your quote or service agreement. The form service keeps a copy for 30 days. If you become a customer we keep your request with your agreement; otherwise we delete it 12 months after we last spoke.
Where we work
Which areas do you serve?
Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Dundas, Ancaster and Burlington. You can send a request from any address; when it is outside our usual area, the measuring tool tells you we will confirm the price by hand.
Who am I dealing with?
Greenzilla Lawn and Snow is run by Greenzilla Group Inc., a corporation registered in Ontario (OCN 1001533680), based in Hamilton.
Do you work for businesses as well as homes?
Yes: small commercial properties such as storefronts and small plazas, for lawn care, storefront sidewalks, parking lot plowing and lot salting.
