What we collect

Only what you send us through the quote form on the home page or the measuring tool: your name, company, phone, email, service and billing address, your preferences, the services and measurements you choose (including the shapes you draw on the map), and your notes. We use them only to prepare your quote or service agreement.

On your device first

In the measuring tool, your drawing, choices and details are saved on your own device so they survive a reload, until you press Send. Your last estimate is also kept on your device so you can open it again at /measure/quote. You can clear your details from the tool at any time, or clear your browser's site data.

When you send

Your request reaches Greenzilla through the form service Web3Forms, which keeps a copy for 30 days. If you become a customer we keep your request with your agreement; otherwise we delete it 12 months after we last spoke.

Maps and address search

The measuring tool loads map pictures and building outlines from Esri, the City of Hamilton and OpenStreetMap, and sends the address you type to an address search service (Esri, with Photon as a backup) to find it on the map. The search result is used only to move the map; it is never saved or sent to us. The one exception is your postal code: when OpenStreetMap (Photon or Nominatim) knows it, the tool fills it into the postal code box for you to check and change if needed, and says so. Esri's results are never saved or sent. No address, coordinates, drawing or personal detail is ever put in a web address.
